Residential Locksmith in Edmond & OKC
Front doors that stick, deadbolts that barely catch, a back door nobody has had a key to in years. We look after the locks on the house you actually live in, and we tell you when a cheap fix will do.
For your home
Locks that work the way they should
A lot of home lock problems aren’t really lock problems. Oklahoma summers and wet springs make wood doors swell and frames shift, so a deadbolt that closed easily in March scrapes by July. Often the fix is adjusting the strike plate, not buying a new lock.
When a lock does need replacing, we’ll walk you through options at your budget. A well-installed Grade 2 deadbolt is plenty for most homes. If you want a high-security cylinder, a smart lock, or matching hardware on every door, we can do that too.
What we handle

Smart locks, without the headache
Keypad and app-controlled locks are great when they’re installed properly, and a pain when they’re not. Most of the trouble we see comes from a deadbolt that’s slightly out of line with the strike. The motor strains, eats batteries in a few weeks, and eventually jams.
We fit the door first, then install the lock, so it runs smoothly and the batteries last. Bring your own lock or ask us what we’d recommend for your door.
Moving in? Start with the locks
You have no way of knowing how many keys the previous owners handed out. Contractors, a dog walker, the neighbor, maybe an ex. Rekeying every exterior door is one of the cheapest security upgrades you can make, and it takes far less time than most people expect.
Small upgrades that make a real difference
Burglars rarely pick locks. They kick doors. A longer strike plate with 3-inch screws that reach the wall stud does more to stop a forced entry than an expensive lock held in by half-inch screws. We can add that to almost any door while we’re there.

FAQ
Home lock questions
Straight answers to the things we hear most on the phone. Don’t see yours? Call and ask.
What’s the best deadbolt for a house in Edmond?
For most homes, a properly installed Grade 2 deadbolt with a reinforced strike plate and long screws does more for security than an expensive lock on a weak frame. We’ll look at your door and tell you what’s worth paying for.
Can you make all my doors work with one key?
Usually, yes. If your locks share a brand or keyway, we can rekey them to one key. If they’re mixed, we may suggest swapping one or two cylinders so everything matches.
Do you install locks I bought myself?
Yes. Let us know the brand and model when you call, so we can make sure it fits your door before we come out.
My key works, but I have to jiggle it. New lock?
Not necessarily. Worn keys cause a lot of that. A fresh key, or cleaning and lubricating the cylinder, often solves it. If the pins are worn, a rekey costs less than a new lock.
